The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is reminding drivers that the extension to renew their licences - announced during the recent provincial labour disruption - ends August 2, 2002.

In order to ensure customer convenience, the province extended drivers' licences and many vehicle permits that expired March 13, 2002, or later, to August 2, 2002. Extended licences and permits also include: driving instructor licences; disabled person parking permits; commercial vehicle permits; temporary (trip) permits and annual oversize/overweight permits.
